bye the lake

I’m so happy to announce that ‘bye the lake’ is an official selection for the 2026 Midwest Film Festival! ‘bye the lake’ is a short film about two people who spend one last day together before saying goodbye forever. It’s about the unspoken connections and what-could-have-beens that are felt but never voiced.

I got to direct and act in the film alongside Mo Shipley. Grey Light was our director of photography, and all songs were written and performed by Corey Wade. Cody Fuller took the photo for our poster.

I’m grateful to have been nominated for two Best of the Midwest Awards for Best Actor and Best Casting. The Midwest Film Festival runs from July 22nd-July 25th. Here are some stills. :)
